Knowing the true meaning of the word Sanstha as “Faith”, with this belief Sahyadri Shikshan Sanstha was founded on 15th June 2002. Since its establishment, the organization has been continuously working for social welfare and education.
The organization is managed by seven dedicated directors who are actively involved in planning and implementing all activities. The institute is Government recognized and is certified under 80G, 12A and ISO.
Sahyadri Education Institute actively conducts various social programs including eye check-up camps, disease diagnosis and treatment camps, tree plantation, cleanliness drives, public awareness rounds, International Women’s Day celebrations, Haldi-Kunku programs for women, and awareness programs for disabled children.
The organization also undertakes distribution of food, clothes and chadars to the needy, honors individuals who have contributed exceptionally to society, and provides guidance and counseling programs for adolescent girls.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization provided food supplies for 30 consecutive days to 70 people from the poor Katkari community of Panchvad Panchkroshi.
Additionally, Anganwadi teachers and helpers were supported with sanitizers, masks and other essential materials.
On 15th June 2002, Aapulki School began its journey in a very small room with only five students.
The first admission was Poonam, sister of Smt. Sushma Pawar. This emotional bond became the inspiration and foundation of Aapulki School.
The organization is affiliated with the Government and has been operating a school and residential school for children with mental retardation since 2002.
The institute also runs an Early Intervention Center and Aapulki Center for Small Scale Industries to promote skill development and self-reliance among the handicapped.

To provide quality special education, early intervention services, residential care and life-skill training to mentally challenged children in a safe and nurturing environment.
To create social awareness, encourage inclusion and promote self-reliance through vocational training, therapy and continuous support for children and their families.
A school for mentally retarded children is in “A” category.
Anand Gujar, a student of the school, has received an award from the Government of Maharashtra.
The organization has purchased one acre (40 guntas) of land at Panchwad (Amritwadi).
At present, the institute has a spacious self-owned building of 4500 sq. ft. with all facilities.
All physical facilities are in “A” category as per RTE Act.
